Luke and Madelyn stopped by to visit. Madelyn is very fond of your mother. She showed me where your mum would have Luke clear the bush where she would pray. I consider it a special place.

We love it here and we have been steadily working on the house but without the hired help for the last few weeks. I finally got to the bottom of the hall closet. I found this baby!! Exciting! I don’t know how to use it but have assigned the task of finding the manual online and learning to Ariella as a school project.

Amazing the telescope still exists! Dad loved to sail which lead him to the stars and the choice of a name for the Tortola property. When I was a kid, he took U.S. Coast Guard “Power Squadrons” class and learned to navigate with a sextant. Every time we visited we would learn a little more about the celestial bodies above Auriga. I recall his excitement (while returning from Road Town along the shore?) as he pointed us towards a little bit of the Southern Cross visible just above the horizon. Unfortunately, the last time I gazed through the Celestron, the opticks were mildewy. A nice project for a foul weather day! -JTH
