We had a look at Auriga and I have a better idea what we would be looking at. First thing that needs to be done right away is a new layer of wind and water seal on the main house. There are about a dozen places where sunlight is shining through.
A rough list proposed for the first phase in the main house:
- New Wind and water seal on roof of main house
- Electrical inspection and repairs
- Water pump operational?
- Clean and inhibit mold on ceilings and elsewhere
- Clean floors and walls
- Rebuild / repair and paint doors and shutters
- Photos of each damaged item to determine if to be saved/ stored or restored or disposed of.
Artwork that is probably salvageable.
Furniture that may not be.
Dispose of and replace stove and fridge.
Clean up debris / broken glass, Scrub or power wash mold and dirt from floors. Paint where necessary – original color or discuss with your family
Clean outside stairways.
Begin to thin out unwanted small trees/ invasive plants especially along the pathway.
Will have to look closer at what the patios need and discuss with you.
